Cracked into our 4th ton on Feb 12th, as I was leaving for work today I did a quick count and have 16 bags left. If it doesn't start to warm up soon I think I am going to need another ton to get through the season. It's been a long, cold winter and everybody I know is sick of it. Hope it ends soon!

I second that on the long cold winter. We're out and buying a few bags at a time. Our local supply is down to OHP and I'd rather not burn them if any other choice exists.

After filling mine this morning I have only 1 bag left from my original 4 tons... and... my dealer decided to up the price yet again on my beloved Uncle Jed's... gots me thinking for sure.

funny as this may sound
have about 4 bags left, out of my four ton prediction
have 18 tons in the storage area but
will probably go and buy some loose bags
so I dont have to break the factory wrap on a new ton
have to keep the pellets safe and dry

I counted 22 bags left from the original 4 Ton delivery of Cleanfires in late October.
I'll make it til maybe to March 20th before I start to nickel & dime some more...
We sell the Clear Choice Evergreen Blend & I wanna run some of them thru
the P43 to see if I get the same results that we get on the showroom floor...
With the addition of a P61 & the P43 going up to replace the GF600 in the garage,
we may need to go for 8 tons next winter, but we'll be dropping an LP tank...
The cost savings SHOULD be more than a wash...
Long winter indeed! The Cross Bones is a callin me!

I'm trying to remember when we started burning full time, around the clock. I want to say it was somewhere around the middle to end of October. It may have been early November though. Once I started burning it seems like the only time the stove got a break was when I cleaned it. Thank God I wasn't burning fuel oil all winter!!!!

I've got 24 bags left from 3 tons. Got a later start burning than most of you, Dec 16th when stove was installed. Right now trying to decide between getting a half ton or just going ahead and getting a ton. Half ton and the 24 bags on hand would get me to late april early may, and I plan on burning at night some in may even. I may just get the ton, as I can use them to start next season!

Threw bag #187 into the stove this morning. Not burning on a very high setting, but I can see going through a full 4 tons before this winter finally ends....maybe even a little more.

Eyes are peeled for deals from now on.

I know what you mean, this winter has lasted forever. by the time it ends i will have gone threw 3.5 ton. help full hint, I count how many days form the time I start burning untill I stop and that should come out to how many bags ( tons) you need, I allways add a few more in for those cold days. I go by Oct 15 untill April 15 so that comes out to 182 days (3.6 ton). so Far it has worked out well fo me and my house is keeped at 73. I am just glad I am not paying the gas man this yr, my mom sai her NG bill has trippled and her house is at a tosty 58. Summer better come fast.

We all lose as far as pellets are concerned, because you can't take them with you. If you're headed downward after this life, you surely wont need pellets for heat. Similarly, if you're headed upwards, you will always be at the right temperature.

Food for thought. By the way, there will be plenty of food in heaven.

i've spent this week hearing people say "well, these 5 bags should get me through till spring"....I wait until they turn around to chuckle. i think most of my regular customers are at about 20% more pellets than they've averaged for the last few years....its been a consistently cold one, thats for sure.

It might end sooner if I can get the sewers all plugged up ;-) .

Same boat here. We ran through 3 ton of Uncle Jeds and are buying a few bags here and there. The only good thing is it gives me a chance to sample other brands.
