Well I won one of the firewood permits that the state of CT awards. Has anyone else done this in the past? Seems like I sit back and wait for them to call me and tell me it's ok to go cut. I'm just nervous that something is going to get missed and I am going to lose out on my 2 cords for $60! Input appreciated.

Congrats . Just wondering, how did apply for that ? Thanks

Congrats on the permit. I just found out I received one too. In the past
when i got a permit, I received a letter from the local forester stating a time
and date to meet and pickup the permit. They seem to be using a different
system now, so we'll see how it goes. I applied for area M which will be new
for me also.

I'm excited to hear about how it works once you guys go. Please take pics of the entire experience!

Bummer, I missed out for the second year. I put in for section E. Next year I'm going to enter the wife, my son and the dog. Maybe I'll have a shot then.
Congrats to the two of you though.
