Finally!! I can't wait, we get our Jotul Oslo installed tomorrow. I'm going to take some pics with the progress of the install. The guys doing the install are "very good" and have been doing it for over 40 years. Lets hope that's the case, they were very highly reccomended.
Call me paranoid but honestly one of the main reasons that we are getting the Oslo is that we are a little skeptical of long term power outages. One of my very good friends in rather high up at MidAmerican Energy and he has told me of several cyber threats that they have thwarted and it's not made the news. These aren't the little threats from some 10th grader having fun....
I guess that I'm a winner either way. If that's the case above then we are prepared and if it doesn't happen then we've got one heck of a nice wb stove and we are cutting our dependence on big brother......

Like your thinking, and just remember, they ARE watching you......

The Oslo will not disappoint! I have had mine since the fall, and it is a great stove. We did have a power outage after a winter ice storm, for about 10 hours. While the stove was better than nothing, without good artificial air movement (fans) it did not have the great heating effect it normally has. As I said, it was better than nothing. I suppose it would also depend a lot on the layout of your home...

Best of luck with the new stove!
