Well the first full year of burning with the new BK is coming to an end, and i think its gonna have to go. I put this stove in to make burning easier and more enjoyable, not having to baby sit it all the time, and spend more time relaxing. Well it did that so well my wife found more things for me to, as she said "to keep busy with", and I'll tell ya what I had a few words...with myself about doing them chores, and if she would have been there, well it would have been alot quieter. Well, on second hand it kept us warm, used almost half the wood we've used in the past = (less work cuttin and splitin), the wife can run it with ease (when i was busy with all the other crap she had me doing), and i didn't get fat sittin in front of the stove (again with all the extra crap the wife had for me to do). So i think the BK needs to stay and i need to thank my wife for keeping me in shape over the winter. No that would just go to her head and give her more ideas, we'll just leave it at, THE BK'S STAYIN!!! I LOVE IT. JD

I will have mine installed soon, and will be ready for next season. Thank you so much for the update. I am sorry to hear about your additional work load due to the stove. Guess you have to make up for not having to cut, split, and stack as much wood. Glad to get more reassurance that I made the right decision.

Thanks!

Glad you are enjoying the new stove. What a luxury to have 60 acres of that kind of fuel at your disposal to feed it.

JD, your post sounds almost exactly how I felt when we installed the Fireview! Glad this has worked out well for you.

By the way I was comparing our new BK to our old BK. My wifes to do list went in the fire Thursday, so that was the end of that, for now. This summer i'll be sittin in front of a 10x20 bon fire pit in my old recliner and a captain & coke till wee hours in the morn, when im not dealin with feedin cattle, takin care of calves, planting, weed spraying, and on and on, AND kids softball, mx racing, soccer, football training camps, 4h, rodeo, training the horses, and on and on and on. other then the cattle winter WAS my break. Dont it make burning wood great when you have a stove that works the way you want it to? And it dont matter what kind of stove you have, as long as you like it. JD

blaze kings are the kings for a reason! they are the best

how many cords of wood you go thru a month?

From the middle of oct - now, im right at 4 1/2 cords burning 24/7, for 2 weeks we used electric heaters while we fixed the chimney. JD
