Well we ended up with 4 trailer loads of red oak, the boys that are cutting told us that they had a white oak just down the street to cut and we could have all that wood. We got two trailer loads today and the main trunk is still standing and is at least 60' tall and is 3.5' feet acoss at the base. They told us to come back monday and they would help us load our trailers and took my phone number they were telling me that they have a hard time getting rid of the wood I said not anymore you don't!!

This is the last of the red oak and some of the white oak that was from some of the top of it.

Nice to fall into those deals....

Naandme, you have made a good connection there! If I were closer I'd take some even though we have our own wood. We just don't have much oak.

Backwoods wish you were closer you could have a bunch. I believe it to be a nice connection going to tommorow and finish loading up the rest of the white oak, they said they have two more trees this week one is a really big shagbark hickory and the other is a huge mulberry. Got to love the hardwoods for free already droped and cut to length just load and they help with that its a great find for me and my buddy for sure! :)

Nice score......

Man that is sweet to be sure. Get those boys a nice treat or two.
