I came home today to find my stove off and an "Auger Jammed" error on the control pad. First, I unpluged the stove and rebooted, but the stove will not start and the error message returned. I emptied the hopper and pulled the auger motor and did not find anything wrong. I think the problem might be with the motor itself or the optical sensor. Does anyone know how I can test?

Thanks. I hope that's all it is. I will pick up a new one from my dealer and give it a try.

Just to follow up, it turned out to be a bad auger motor. My dealer was very knowledgeable and helped diagnosed the problem over the phone. I swapped the motor after work and the stove is up and running again.
