hi all.i've been thinking about this for quiet a while and after numerous conversations with many many people that i know with pellet stoves,i can easily move a truck load of pellets.i have a local stock yard that will off load the pellets at their yard and then deliver them @$20 per ton to all who are involved.i've read some posts in the past about people buying a truck load direct from the factory and was curious as to how this all would work.
if anyone has any info that would be of help it would be greatly appreciated.its in the early stages of planning right now and trying to figure out if itwould be cost effective .i'm on the south shore of boston so if anyone could set me in the right direction to get the ball rolling ,that would be great.
how would i find out what pellet companys sell direct .

i also have a 2nd location where the pellets can be offloaded and people can haul themselves if they chose not to go with the $20 a ton delivery

I'm definitely interested. I need delivery, I'm a pig and am getting uncomfortable with only a ton left. Last time I re-upped I had 8 tons in the basement. I can only go up to 5 or so this time, will keep my eye on this.

I might be interested.

It depends on brand.

I will use 3 tons next year for sure. (I still have about a ton of this seasons supply left) :)

Let me know.

I know this won't work for this company outside of Maine, but while on the subject of buying directly from the company, I thought I would let my fellow Mainer's that this company says "in the state of Maine," by the truckload or as little as 3 tons. http://mainewoodspelletco.com/orderform.html I don't know what kind of a deal that can be arranged. For my purposes, I'll stick with the middle man, SIB in Jay, because they put them right the garage and have kept the price lower than I would have thought possible.

I hear the big box stores are paying about $2.50 per bag on a 22 ton truckload so I am sure you can make a good deal and it would be well worth it!!
