thanks alot
Rob

Did the stove start doing this before or after you did the cleaning? And how does the flame pattern look? Is the control board giving you any blinking lights?

no it just did it after i cleaned it....and it is not showing any lights...because it is just like there in no power to anything..it runs fine then it totally shuts off...all blowers and aguer and lights.,.. just like it has no power at all
thanks rob

A few things come to mind. If the snap switches are malfunctioning it could shut the stove down. Or maybe when you cleaned it you may have hit a wire or knocked something loose. I would check the wiring and make sure everything is where its supposed to be. But for everything to shut off like that in the middle of a burn is very strange. Maybe try resetting the unit by unplugging it and plugging it back in. It is possible it may have gone into some sort of fault mode when it ran outta pellets.

These may seem like stupid questions for you, but I gotta ask :)

1) When you say 5 minutes, do you mean 5 minutes? The startup cycle for the EF3 will last 15 before it shuts off if not up to a minimum running temp. So, if it is shutting off after 5 minutes, there is something wrong there.

2) Is the stove getting up to a minimum temp? In other words, are you leaving the blower off and letting it warm up for 5-10 min after the first flame appears? If you have the blower on during the startup cycle, it will more than likely shut off.

3) Is the feed rate set at the 12:00 position during startup?

As I said, may seem like obvious questions, but they may be a good place to start. They're not mean to be reflective of your current knowledge :)

yes i mean it runs for 5 min...hot and blower is running...i do have the blower on right away...i will try leaveing it off for 5 min....and the feet rate is at twelve....thanks guys any other ideas

It's probably the blower. Leave that off until 5-10 mins after initial flame. That way it gets to the minimum running temp. If I start my blower right away, it cools the stove too quickly and it will shut off after the 15 min startup cycle.

Let us know :)

"it is not that the fire goes out.... but the whole unit shuts off…just like u pulled the cord out of the wall" This sounds like something other than what folks are reading into it since they're missing that facts as you stated them. Five minutes of fire and then suddenly off. It sounds more like an electrical problem than a sensor thing. I don't think any of the sensor do anything in a mere 5 minutes. I'd check-out the outlet that the stove is plugged into. It might have a not-tight-enough screw holding the electrical wire. It might be coincidental that it happened after cleaning. Try running an extension cord to a different outlet.

ok...i gave it a good cleaning...and it will start runs great good flame...then 15min on the dot it goes out...whole stove shuts off.....every 15min on the dot..not matter if blower on or off...
it just quits like power is out...anyone have any ideas???
thanks

If its in run mode within that 15 minute period then im thinking it could be a control board issue. If it was not getting into run mode then i would say maybe a bad snap switch. Have you contacted your local enviro dealer?

Your low limit (proof of fire) switch is likely bad or loose.

It has to see a certain temperature in order for the stove to stay running.

There is a bypass circuit that allows the stove to fire for the first 15 minutes, after that the low limit must be closed for the stove to continue.

Maybe disturbed/broke a wire off during the cleaning?

If you can get a ceramic version of that switch do so, those bakelite jobs are not really up to the task.
