As quick as winter came in this year (day after Thanksgiving), it left... That ground hog was right, on ground hog day we had about 5" of snow on the ground and temps in the teens, and by that weekend it was in the 40's then 50's next week... I have 24 bags left and a pellet stove full of pellets so I guess during blackberry winter I will burn them to empty the stove out before cleaning it for the summer...
Another great time of reading on here, have a safe summer and see you all next fall... LAKE TIME

Not sure what you tell you. We had snow on the ground before Halloween and it's 6* right now. Going to be a while before the stove is "put away"

Wait until the end of this week - Winter is not done with us yet, the NE US will be lucky to get above freezing for several days after this Wednesday and Thursday.

Enjoy the warmer weather, Rooster. It's still buning time here in Delaware. Cold at night, not during the day. Hit 74 on Friday and today it's 44! We are on the weather yo-yo.

Snow tomorrow, we heat into May.

Have a great summer Rooster... It was in the upper 20's last night. Gonna be cold for at least a couple more weeks here. If not longer... It hit 64 for the high on my weather station today, but it changes quick once the sun starts to drop.

Cheers, see ya next winter.

Well, that means black fly season for you! We have 3-6 inches of winter white predicted for tomorrow. Rest of he week, cooler than normal. No plans of doing a stove shut down until June. Frost is predictable right up to Memorial Day; Even known to happen later than that! I've been busy trying to shovel a path to the greenhouse. What's left in my way is about two feet deep icy snow (blown from the snow thrower) Using a pick ax to break it up.

WOW, we haven't had snow on the ground in over a month, and I mowed the yard today for the first time... I had on shorts and a cut off T-shirt plus grilled and had a cold beer or two...
I feel for you guys, I'm sure we are in for a cold night or two, but the trees are starting to bud out, and the grass is green...

BE SAFE MY FRIENDS...

Rooster,

80 degrees, right now, been working in the yard most of the day, but I only turned my stove off yesterday. I must be a little colder blooded than you. I think it is going to be a little warmer tomorrow, makes me want to think about getting the pool ready, I love the spring and summer. Have a great time over the summer on the lake.

More white crap on the ground when I got home tonight. Stove is a blazin away. More winter crap supposed to come in mid week! Rooster can you send me some warmth? :)

Yep, Rooster and Jakethpup can send some this way!!

uh, forgot to say Please!! LOL

Guys if I could send it your way I would, because I so hate the cold weather, looks like tomorrow is going to be in the high 70's low 80's.

I need to change my signature line back in January I bought a new Pellet incert, a country side, and I really do like it. I should post a pick of the new stove.

We are still beating and scraping 8 to 10ft of frozen ground to get oil and natural gas to you guys with those uninsulated colonial homes.
Enjoy the spring warmth you b_s_t_r_.
