351 bags of Vermont Wood Pellets so far. It aint over yet.

#190 went in a hour ago. Still maintaing 70 degrees. If all remains the same next year, I should be able to knock 15%-20% off my number. At the end of Febuary, I found out that all along I was running in corn mode. That allowed my stirrer to constantly airate the burn pot which in turn needed more pellets to keep up with the heat demand.

Yup........... That describes my house............ I would normally use 1500+ gallons of HHO if I had no pellet stove..... And it gets pretty cold in this section of NJ and this winter the cold was longer and colder than before.......

So far 168 bags- 3 tons Cubex, 10 bags Okanagans, 8 bags of Lignetics- 7 bags left. 147 used last year, lawn needed mowing last season at this time. This year still mostly covered with snow....

212 bags of Barefoot since approximately Oct 22nd. And that is only burning at night or when in the house.

Still need to get some more bags this weekend.

Do you run the Maxim year round?

Just bought 7 bags of Turman's, hoping to get a full week or so out of them. Wondering where Punxitawney Phil is hiding out because he was definitely WRONG this year.

So far, other than the Barefoot's that I burnt all winter, I have tried Hamer's, NEWP, Oakies and now Turman's. My personal ranking would be barefoot, Hamer's, Turman's, Oakies and NEWP.

Just calculated today how many bags I've used since I installed our xxv on 12/3/2010 came out to 172! We run the stove 24/7 on room temp and keeps our 2400 sq ft home comfy at 70 degrees main level and loft, and upstair bedrooms between 64 on a cold day to 68 on a warmer day! With the sun now the past month the stove works perfect in room temp as shuts down during the day when the sun is warming the house. Loading up now for spring buys going into next heating season, 1.3 tons of Okanagan At $339 and 1 ton North American that I got at Lowes for $209. I found out today that my local tractor supply will have another shipment this week of Lignetics at $229 a ton, if I can get that I should be in great shape for next year. My plan is to always be a full year ahead!

Just did the counting today, used 157 bags since installed and started Dec 16th. Total cost so far is $627, which is great since it would of cost $400-$450 a month otherwise! And I got the added joy of being warmer, watching the fire, becoming a mini pellet pig, and best of all finding this site and the great people who always help when needed! Pretty cool.
