Hi, My ignitor died today. RIP. Where is a good place to get a new replacement ignitor for my Hudson River Pellet Insert? Thank you.

Talk to your dealer.

Here is a link to one source (I haven't used these folks, just giving you a link for comparison purposes) http://www.stonewelltradingcompany....NITOR_ROD_WP_SARANAC_Pellet_Burner_Stove.html

If you get the measurements of that igniter you can likely find another source as well (it is a Hot Rod igniter).

ETA: Mine died a couple months ago, been doing the manual light routine, it's an easy stove to light manually.

Got mine from Al. The first one failed last year. I'm surprised yours went that long. Don't bother replacing it this late in the season. I would do a new one next fall when the heating season kicks in. Mine started real well for a few weeks while I waiting for a part using a blow torch.

Sammy:
The price of the one at Grainger looks very good! - But for my WhitField I would need to weld a stainless steel threaded collar on it to make it work. So if you also need a collar and don't have access to a stainless steel welder you might not want to buy that one.

You might also check Ebay -- I found one one there for 95$ -- Whitfiled (Lennox) price was over 120.

Scott the 6" one http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/TEMPCO-Cartridge-Heater-4NJG6 is a closer match, the 5" works but the actual one in the stove is 6.25" from from tip to leads.

BTW, what a pain in the hind quarters to to get too.

I let the dealer change mine when he offered to do it for free. I watched him closely so I would know how to do it the next time and it looked like it was a pain. Hopefully the one he put in will last for a few years......
