Hey all,

Hope everyone had a good week. So I got home today and the wife has the stove going, apparently 30 degrees win late March will do that. Will this winter ever end?

I just got my motorcycle out this past weekend. Then it snowed again.
seen a few last week around here..none this week..lol...wont fire mine till may!

Waiting a few more weeks (need to renew my tags), but I'm seeing a bunch lately. I like spring the best, when it's cool enough to enjoy the ride even in traffic. But the stove's still going in the evenings so a bit more winter left I think. Funny how it seems like the same temp can be warm enough to not fire the stove in the fall, but we cling to it in the spring.

Kat, when did winter leave? I hadn't noticed.... We've been single digits the past few nights. Not above freezing during the daytime either. Hard walking in the snow we have now too.

That ought to cause a mud slide or three.

12 degrees at the lake this AM...
Thought about firing up the Cross Bones& riding to work, but I chickened out.
Gonna take it for a spin after work & go to dinner with the GF & the local H.O.G. Chapter...
Might take er up to Manchester, Vt, tomorrow, to hit some of the outlet stores - spozeta be mid-30s...
After putting 400 miles on er last week, this week I gotta use the 4X4 truck
& cut the gas mileage by 67%...*sheeesh*

Seems like winter (cold) starter in October in Northern New York and they say we won't warm up until late April.

Set up a small trim job and window replacement for Monday. Tuesday finishing up I had to keep digging my miter saw out of the snow. Wednesday, 10" of snow. I guess we'll try again this Monday.

According to accuweather we might be back to normal temperatures after about a week. However, for some odd reason they have got our forecast and reported temperatures way out of whack. Nobody there seems to know what happened. They've been as much as 20 degrees off! Maybe they have Saginaw mixed up with Indianapolis.

I was thinking the same thing Dennis . . .

Been out a couple of times on the motorcycle - if the roads are dry I'll ride - if it's too cold I'll just put on the heated gear. But Winter ain't left just yet - I'm hoping for warmer weather next week but I'm not hopeful I'll see it - going from NH to Illinois. Could be cold, could be warm, could be snow, could be rain - who knows.

I keep forgetting we don't really have winters down here in North Carolina... :^). We've already had some 80 degree days and a bunch in the 70's. Everything around here is starting to bloom. It did turn cool this weekend and into this week. Down into the 30's again, sure feels cold after all of them warm days!! Thought I had used the Fireview for the last time this winter but have been firing it up the last few nights with some small fires to keep the house warm...

Blessings to all and to those up north...stay warm!!

Kenny, we go through that every year. We'll have 3 or 4 days of really nice weather.....then have to dig out the winter coats again. It gets old fast but we go through it annually. Now we are hoping that we will even see 40 degrees this week.

Hey Dennis! Supposed to be about 65 here today and then back down into the 50's for highs with rain the rest of the week... :^(

We might get a noreaster the end of the week...they are not sure yet....could be a big one....great freakin time to burn......

Up to last Tuesday we had over 2 weeks of temps from 50 to 70 degrees.Big series of heavy thunderstorms, some tornadoes with widespread rural damage Tuesday night over western 1/2 of the state.Temps 30-40 ever since.Last Friday almost 3" snow, lasted a few hours.Another 2" overnight.Spring appears for good around mid April finally, then its rain off & on for a month...

Was thinking about pulling off the winter tires on my car, but I think I'm going to give it a few more weeks just in case.

We got some melting today but supposed to be 40 tomorrow so that should help a lot. It is amazing while driving down the road to see all the big sheets of ice still on the house roofs.

Calling for 8-14 inches of heavy wet snow here in the mountains Friday,,,, bye , bye , grass for a while.

I'm on Spring Break and the stove has been burning 24/7 for nearly a week. Thought I was done after the warm spell that lasted a couple of weeks and got lots of stuff blooming out and started greening the grass. This morning I've got 37 and rain with a load of mixed shagbark hickory and white oak burning away in the Oslo. That is more like December and January in Tennessee.
