"We will be having our spring sale in mid April

We anticipate that prices will start at $215 and most brands will be under $230, however prices will not be announced until mid April.

We will update prices when they become available shortly after April 12th as we continue negotiating to bring you the best prices possible!!!

Energex has discontinued their Juniata bag, so this year's Juniata will be in an Energex American bag or a Natures Own bag, which we will have both.
"

yes, a few dealers are now starting coming to the surface with spring pricing.......looks to be an interesting Spring Pellet Season.

A lot can change in a couple weeks, curious as to why they are waiting.... especially since the hammers I got from them in Jan were from Jan 2010...
Let's hope they do come in at that price!
It will be great!

I just noticed they got Okies back on there site. Out of stock, But I didn't think they were gonna sell them anymore?

Don't expect the Barefoots and Sprucies to be that low. Hamers maybe? The cubies were a good deal last season at $230/ton.

Just got Spring price flyer from our local dealer.
O'Malley, Turman and American Wood's are $201, Hamer is $206, Pennwood $216 and Allegheny are $221. I am looking at going with 4 tons of Turmans. All the above prices are $10 more for people who did not buy their stoves there.

Why, oakies didnt sell, or problems with the 1.3 ton size of a full oad ?

Actually, Brian "trashed" them on here saying they didn't sell as well as ACP's and they "smelled like a wet dog". So I didn't think they were gonna carry them anymore.

My point exactly. That's about the lowest your going to see the Spruce Pointes and Barefoots probably will not be less than $269/ton. Maybe $259 if your lucky!

Mark my word, The best brands aint gonna be that low(except maybe the cubies)! Also don't expect the prices to stay low long! Big worries of a fiber shortage and I am hearing this from many sources. No worries for me as I am ahead of the game!

I was at BT a couple days ago and their lot is EMPTY. They had 2 brands available for by the bag purchase. I ended up with rocky mountains (which are fine, but were $6 a bag :/ )

I'm not sure if they are expecting a spring delivery or not, but if it's based on whats on the lot now, o'malleys are like the only thing they have mass qty of (outside at least).

they have a place in suffield thats stocked.they are pricey if you dont buy a ton

Ive not heard any bad reviews about BT Pellet, know them by reputation only (all good). I am somewhat confused about the stocking situation (and the lack of Spring pricing) as most manufacturer "deals" have been made already between the manufacturer and resellers, with product shipping already. Many places charge more for less than ton quantity....better to buy by the ton. I feel its a mistake to wait too long this year......mid-April might not be "too long", but who knows?

As an aside, and I've said it before....I dont think you will see cheaper prices than these spring prices you are seeing now. This year is looking alot like the infamous 2008 year, when fall finally hit and there werent any pellets in any quantity......hope that isnt the case again.

Thank you Lousyweather for the kind words as we try very hard to live up to that reputation. As for waiting till mid April most manufactuers did not allow to pick up before April and with a large customer base we need to have a large amount to start.

Same here, I have only heard positives about dealing with BT. There prices are competitive and the service is outstanding. They carry the largest selection in my area. Great people from the office to the guys working the yard.

Some of the other dealers seem early with the spring special prices. If I remember correctly I got my Cubex from BT mid April when they had there special last season.

I sure hope peeps are listening, Once summer rolls by, I am thinking pellet prices might be scary again. I am hearing 2008 all over again.

South Shore wood pellet (MA) just came out with their spring "specials." Barefoots at $269. My stove likes them, so I am ordering 3 tons.

And just like 2008, oil prices will fall through the floor and leave pellet manufacturers sitting on a years worth of overpriced sawdust as pellet burners will return to heating their home with HHO, propane and natural gas.

Some of use are wheened from the dino juice and there is no turning back. I buy when the price is low.

If Oil goes down(not hearing that it will) we will see pellet wars again next winta!

Doesn't look like much of a deal to buy now. Thats why it's good to have a stash so you can wait it out and see where prices go. I for one would not pay any of Pelletdirects prices.

yea, we hear the sabre rattling alot, and it always comes down to the personal choice of "buy now, KNOW what your price is, and KNOW you have product stored for the season", OR, "maybe the price will go down, and wait"........but, as jay said, its shaping up to be a 2008 year, and I agree. Remember what happened in 2008? Prices screamed up in the mid to latter part of summer, and availability was nil. So, I guess the question woulf be "could that happen again?" Time will tell, I guess. Do you folks really think there is alot of downside to buying now? Really? You think youre going to save oodles of money by waiting? I think there is ALOT of downside to waiting, the main two being price and supply. I only hope that the people who elected not to buy soon have the cojones to come back in the fall and say they were wrong. I will if I am wrong.....tho I havent been yet.

There's a whole bunch of us here who already have what we need for next year. We already saved money, some of us nearly $100 per ton. We are in the enviable position of looking at the Spring Buys and making our own decisions based on what's best for us. The best part is, we don't have to buy, but we can.....and some of us will.

I agree, now may be the best time to buy. We are seeing alot of traffic in our store now, people are not waiting. I'm hoping it doesn't turn out like 08' also. What we saw were oil prices shot up, people rushed in to buy stoves, you guys all know the story. If oil stays up there til fall I think we may see the same thing. That was really what caused most of the problem that year, the consumer! This industry is not poised to make spur of the moment changes, it has to ramp up. Yes I love all the business I can get but it does no good to have a customer and not have product to sell. This industry has not had a nice even year to deal with in a long time and probably won't for a long time. So yes, I say buy now.

I am officially stressed! Still burning.... down to 180 bags or so..
Sooooo gonna head out to squire and grab some okies... and make my way to bt for hammers!

Anyone wanna trade ? I have 15 bags of Maine wood pellets?
