I just stoped by my dealer Wednesday (3/30) to order my PF100(insert happy smile and the sound of angels singing), and he told me Harman is going up 4%-7% some time in April or May this year.

Yep

Breckwell is 15%
Lenox is 20%

Good thing I got a quote yesterday on a Harman P68!

I was just in pricing a Harman pellet Accentra stove and was told as of June 1 prices were going up 5%. There is a 100.00 coupon on the Harman web site right now that's good till may 25th. Dealer was also giving a 5% discount. It brought the price with coupon and discount to 3129.00 plus the install. Not sure if that's a good price or not.

Wowzers, thats STEEP !

Thanks referee38 for the coupon tip, I have it in hand and the retailer I have been dealing with is on it.
That will bring my quote for a Harman P68 down to $3,229.10.
I hope that is a good price.

With price jumps like that, they'll price themselves out of the market! Sure, oil is going up, but if stove & pellet prices aren't reasonable, then they will not be a viable alternative. Good thing we already have our stove!

Exactly, with heatilator and Englander, more lower cost choices than the Premium manufacturers.

Our local dealer had harmans on sale so we just picked up a green P68 for $2999

Cheers on the Heatilator.

The local dealer in my area is selling the P61 for $2800 & the P68 for $3100. I guess there are tax rebates available too that could bring the price down from there also. Those are good prices on those stoves, I would say you got a good deal on the P68.

We were pretty excited, we will end up paying about what we thought for just the stove but instead will have everything it goes with, and installed.

Saved $100 on the hearth pad bc of a damaged corner.

Those are really good prices !!!

Still some deals to be found out there. Even with projecting a big year in alternative energy some shops are still shy about holding inventory over the summer. Smart shoppers will find good deals for now.

Now is the time to buy, many dealers still have units at "last yrs" prices, but when they start getting in early buys, many of those discounts go out the window. Spring is really the best time to got for new heating appliance as many shops are getting slow and more willing to negotiate with 2010 stuff still in stock.

A good deal is great, a good dealer is even greater!

6" of snow and still going, slowly turning to rain.

Just ordered mine from a local Gold Dealer. Told me list price was going from $3,999 to $3,799 June 1. Got mine for $3,399 with the coupon from Harman. I was prepared to drive to Colorado to purchase a display model a dealer had listed for $2,999 on Craigslist. I told my dealer if they made up the difference I'd pay in gas to get out and back they'd have my business!

Been trolling this site for weeks now...a ton of info!

Congrats on the purchase. Lucky Dog you.. Welcome to the Forum. (fellow Ohioan) Yes I agree, Screw the Propane man. I used to go through 3-4 tanks a year ($3,500 avg per yr) . Now 1 tank lasts 3 years!!!! Just using it for cooking now. Thought about an electric stove, but I likes a gas burning device to cooks my food on. LOL

That is a good price on the Accentra Insert. Have you looked at the P35I as well?

It is certainly an expensive investment, but the way I like to look at it is you spend alot to save alot, and if you currently burn oil or propane, you will save ALOT!!

Yup. Spent around $4k getting my stove 3 seasons ago and have saved probably at least that much in oil alone, not to mention propane.

.I just bought a Harman P43 With the trim kit and slate tile for the bottom. ( had to get that stuff to make my wife happy ) I paid 2469.00 for everything. Install is extra of course with delivery set up and pipe install everything came to 4110.00. I am getting it installed in August. Almost looking forward to winter, maybe not.

Thats a cheaper price than up here at the shop I went to. The P38+ was $2070, and the P43 was $2770. I believe the only difference is the auto ignition.

not exactly.....more differences are the P43 comes out of the box with thermostatic control, where the P38 does not, the P43 puts out 5,000 BTU's per hour more as well. Circuitry is different as well......my money would be on the 43
