Still burning almost 24/7 this week. This is the second year with the Fireview. First year we burned just under 4 cords. I think it will be almost 4 1/2 this year. I think the higher usage is for a couple reasons. While it was colder longer here, I also had about 1 cord of Silver or Norway Maple this year and that stuff just doesn't produce much heat for very long compared to the Cherry / Locust mix I burned last winter. I started sorting it out in and re stacking it separately in late January. I only started mixing it in with Ash a couple weeks ago. The quality of wood has a big effect on the quantity of wood.

We are going to end burning around 7 cord which is the most we have burned. We are now down to building 1-2 fires a day now. I need to split up another 3 cords to get back to 7 cord for next years supply. We have about 7-8 cord sitting in my folk's building and they only burn about 4 cord a year. So at least there is usually a back-up plan with their wood pile.
