I'll be sad to see the little guy go as my main stove. That little guy has a special place in my heart since it is my first stove. I'll be keeping it, though. it will go into "The Phoenix" --> http://www.oldhouseweb.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20296&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=the+phoenix
or it will go into a cabin I'm hopefully building next fall out in the timber (we'll see about that), OR it will go into the new barn that was to be the recipient of the pot bellied stove. I'm kinda leaning towards the new barn, with the pot-bellied stove going into the Phoenix when I'm done. I'd like to have the 17 go into the cabin, but tha's so far out in the future that I'm not putting too much thought into it.

Danno, I just wanted to say congrats on the new purchase. I also love the animated attachments, especially the oh yeah guy! Englander should give Hearth.com some recognition for triggering so many NC30 purchases this year. Unbelievable deal through HD combined with the word-of-mouth from this site has sold quite a few of these bad boys! Enjoy and keep us posted when you get it going! Good luck!

Just a quick update on the status of my order, because i know you are all waiting patiently:

I may have a problem. I may be OCD or something.

Anyway, just talked with "Ben" at Home Depot. he says it's "being processed" (lol), BUT adds that it should probably "enter the next phase" sometime tomorrow, and then I'll probably get an update email with tracking, etc.

ok. now we are getting somewhere. I'm gonna use this dang stove at least once before it gets too warm, darnit. who wins in a battle between my AC and this woodstove in 80 degree weather (outside)???? I think we might find out.

It took about 2 weeks to get mine. Though I ordered it from the NH Home Depot store, but it was shipped from about 100 miles from where I live - guess they found one closer, but it still took 2 weeks-ish.

I'm sure I can live two weeks, but I'm a Gen Xer and I need instant gratification...

They ship the stove directly from the ESW plant. So HD probably submitted the order to ESW today.

I feel your pain. I ordered a non-stove related item from Office Depot and it is supposed to deliver tomorrow. Status shows "In the warehouse". Well, get it out of the warehouse!!

You can also call this shipping outfit - I think they are called non-stop shipping or something like that. In my case, non-stop was not the deal - the got moving, stopped for a week or so and then delivered. But it was free shipping so I can't complain.

When you get the stove, check the fire bricks for damage AND register your stove via phone. I tried to register my stove online and it didn't go so well. Via phone, they get your stove straight into their system. You got 30 days to do this for the warranty to be in effect.

Will do, had to call about broken bricks when I got my other stove and Englander was awesome to work with on it.

Wow, if it keeps moving at this pace (unlikely) it will be at my door by tomorrow. Right now it's a mere 2hr 30min away (give or take).
