For an Esse..........

Great stove video. Was that a Damascus barrel on that shotgun? I take it these are for the land of Oz and New Zealand only.

Esse ironhearts are probably one of few wood stoves that everybody here looks up to.

They cook to perfection, and look great.

If I had the space, I would have had one.

Look forward to your installation pictures :)

Have you cooked anything in the Boston stove soupy?

I'd sure love to try one out.

Did you buy locally!

Always kinda amazes me about cook stoves made or used over seas where the fuel resource is somewhat scarce and with all the regulations they have about cutting trees.

Nope, not yet..........we have to complete the "fire proofing" of that corner of the house yet. No rush in that regard.

Didn't say I bought it.........you're reading into things too much (lol). Thinking about it as a replacement for the Avalon "someday."

What I found especially interesting about THIS stove, (aside from a number of other unique innovations that are quite nice), was that I could burn "Wood, Coal or Peat Moss" (if I remember the add correctly).

That's a awesome stove Soupy

It even has a SS cat to reduce emissions. But at $5000 its a little pricey for me. When I do get a place built at the farm I sure want a wood cook stove. Although I am thinking of getting the Magnum http://www.sopkainc.com/stv_dr/mgnm.php at $2600 its a bit more affordable and I like the glass door on the oven. Hopefully in a few years they will make one with either a cat of secondary burn.

Oh it was BrotherBarts comment that made me think you had one but I realize now he was talking about some other stove of yours.

My grandmother grew up using a wood fired stove/oven. When a daughter got married, hot coals from her Mother's stove were brought to the daughter's new home to light the fire. The fire was kept going all year around.

She told me a good cook could "hear the fire", using sound as a guide of what temperature the oven was at.

Hmm...might be a few CTC issues to address there. Rick

Absolutely, Fossil...........we need to ramp up that corner of the addition, if we want to use it there........otherwise, as far as the stove itself is concerned.......it is "ready to go."

Nice stove but kinda spendy. I am planning on ordering a Bakers Choice in May(about $2000). Putting a 8' X 13' addition on the kitchen for it. I know, I know, pictures or it didn't happen.

I like the look of that stove. What sizes do they come in and how many sq ft do they heat?

I just watched the video again, I like the music too...wonder who it is??

I was just surfing the site for 'Sopka' since I just bought one and saw Cowboy Billy's note above. If you didn't get that Magnum yet, Geno, the owner of Sopka, offered me a Magnum they have on the floor that they used to shoot some video for an even $2000 including shipping! It was too big for the little room I'm putting the Royal 720 in. Thought you might want to know even though your post is fairly old.
