Passed by this wood last night and only got 1 Element load full - talked to the guy and he said I could come get as much as I want! Two types of wood - I don't know either one. One 'looks' like some type of cedar or something.

We don't have that here . . . but it seems to me I've seen pics of this before . . . and am thinking folks say it is red cedar. Only cedar I have in my neck of the woods is the eastern white cedar.

Does it smell like cedar? Cedar has such a unique smell -- think grandma's blankets.

Looks like Red Cedar and possibly Maple or Beech (4th pic)

Been sick for days and still can't smell a thing.

Cedar and tulip.

Eastern Red Cedar/Juniper. I got 2 loads of big rounds out back that havent been milled into blocks & slabs yet.Pretty stuff, easy to work, dries without much cracking or warping & smells great.

+1 red cedar/juniper

we had some big ones near the edge of the swamp years ago - most are small and were the first to invade / grow in abandoned fields around here.

can pop or "fart" a little bit while burning. :)

+1 more

Yes, that looks exactly like the Eastern Red Cedars I have cut. The second wood is tough to ID based on the picture. Maybe Red Maple, maybe aspen, maybe I am way off.
