Mid 30s tonight and mid 40s w/ rain/snow tomorrow. Thought for sure I was done! Oh, twist my arm :)

No joke. I was just going to post the same thread. Had the A/C on two days ago to dehumidify for a couple hours and now this. I am going to start a fire now. I just can't stomach to pay for heat, turn on the furnace, after I payed to cool it off. Got to love the insert :).

Had a fire last 3 nights. Had to haul wood for the 3rd time since I thought we were done. Forecast is for 30's tomorrow night. 1 good thing, my bread rises nice when I have a fire going. Baked 5 loaves today. Next year I'll be baking in a wood cookstove.

Yikes! They revised the expected low for Mon. night down to 40*. Like fishingpol said, good weather for working outside. I'll be doing some wood-gettin' for most of the week.

Mmmm, I can smell it from here! :)

Well north, two days ago we hit 80 degrees but within our state borders we also saw some high temperatures in the low 40's. Now those low temperatures have reached us along with rain, rain and more rain. It is 41 now. No fire yet but it won't be long. So maybe you are right; time to move north!

Same here BS, I finished splitting and stacking today, cold and cloudy, and now it is raining. Went in and started a fire. It felt real good on my sore back. I don't ever remember burning this late.

12c/55f today and 17c/62f tommorow. Warm and clear skies. Ice should be off in time for May long weekend. Flyrods are coming out. :)
tdfcheif, look after that back of yours. Listen to it if its trying to tell you something. Tough guy/stubborn does not work in this area.
Keep warm boys. I am gonna have another beer in front of the barbecue. Wild bison steaks tonight.
Cheers

Don't miss Thursday this year. OK?

We are actually having Spring for the first time in four our five years. Temps in the high sixties or mid-seventies during the day. Last year this time we were in the high eighties. Of course it has been raining for weeks and that screws everything up. I do not tramp down into the woods and cut in the rain. And I seriously need to get the third year out on the stacks pretty soon.

North, That looks like beautiful country in your avatar. I always dreamed of living in that kind of country. And thanks for the "back" advice. "Tough guy/stubborn does not work in this area" I know, but I guess I have always been that guy, and am having to learn as I go as I get older.

Where N of 60 lives they have winter then Thursday and then winter again. Last year he missed Thursday.

I'm just glad the 6"+ from yesterday is melting in the cold drizzle I have now. :shut:

Like I always tell N of 60. Move!

Seriously, I hope it starts warming up out there soon. You guys need some Spring and Summer.

I just got a shiver thinking about that. Thanks for making my 59 degree rainy day feel outstanding!

Put your location in your profile and then we could commiserate with ya. :coolsmirk: Its warm in Arizona.

Doesn't have to be a street address. A state will do.

My spidey sense tells me he's a neighbor of BeGreen in Wa with those conditions.

Boy Pen nothing gets by you... Bart just go with it, help me out man. It rains here too much to feel warm at high 50's! NOTE TO SELF: change profile :long:

Misery loves company and this year we have a state full.

Same here chief. I'm just a very lil bit south of you and thought I was done to, but w highs in low 50's to 60 and lows in upper 30's guess I've got a couple more days and nights left. And this is the latest I ever remember burning also. Even when So. Il. weather changes so much by the day.

Still burning . . . cool, damp and rainy today.
