I am traveling to Germany next week going from Frankfurt to Munich and wanted stop in a wood stove dealer in Germany while touring. Does anyone know how stoves and fireplaces are sold in Germany? I wondered if they had private dealers like in the US. If this is too off topic my apologies.

They definitely have stove stores. Germany makes and sells a lot of stoves. You'll find many varieties that you won't see here. Be sure to bring a camera with you and take lots of pictures.

Where are you going? Here's a nice shop in Berlin:

I also found a few stove shops in Hamburg with a quick search.

I go to Deutschland every year for training and pretty much party! The training is a formality.... I go to some of the older parts of Germany taht are still intact and weren't affected by the war. However, there are lots of sites there where the heirarchy was hiding but the US did nto know. Cool stuff!

We wnet to a town called Eberstadt known for wine. There is a resturant there that has the most intricate stove...I don't even have words for it. Totally not something I have ever seen. Looks very heavy!

Every house or dwelling there has a really cool and old looking stove. I will this year take many pics for the people here. I was not so much into wood burning in previous years but you folks have changed that!

I like to go to shops there but have not seen a hearth stores... From what I have seen everyone burns wood and someone has to sell them.

Thanks for the replys, we will be spending most of our time in Munich, but will pass thru a lot of towns on the way from Frankfurt. I will have to do some asking as we travel I guess. I will certainly take pictures and if I see something really neat, I will post it when I return.
