Just can't remember.Prob with a straight shot up through the roof i wouldn't need 1 except for ease of installation. prob be a good idea.

Thanks guys, slip connector was the one i have heard.Just checking incase i need 1 later on.How bout these double wall pipe inline dampers.Ok to go with a regular damper with a piece of single wall which i will be using or is there something i don't know here?

What model Jotul do you have? Unless you have an unusually tall chimney you shouldn't need a damper for an EPA stove.

Slip connectors are available in both single and double wall, depending on which way you're going.

Just checking because i'm looking at a Jotul 50 tl and all that have it say excessive draft, and a damper is gonna be installed to slow the air so i'm just checking on this stuff ahead of time. Waiting to see how it works for the 1's that have installed the stove.Single wall, gonna get what heat i can and this pipe will be at least 3' from the wall and then some.
