That will be me on saturday (or tuesday if its raining) :)

Congrats on the score...

I have around 350 bags in the basement now. I have 2 more tons (100 bags) I still have to get from dealer. Hope to make it out there Sat as well. If its Not Raining....

I declared my 2010/2011 burn season over the end of April.

It is now dig in the dirt season.

As for 2011/2012 I think I'm all set on the fuel supply side, anyone notice what happened to crude prices yesterday?

2010-2011 is still alive and kicking here for sure.

Wont get to stock up on fuel until the fall nut shell season gets here though, but have enough to get through fall.

YESSSSSSSS on the oil prices.

As an independant trucker the prices of fuel oil are always on my mind.

5 miles to the gallon consumption on a big rig cuts deep into the profit margine, especially when the price is nearly $4 gallon

Snowy

All ready for next heating season:
7 ton in garage and furnace room, got a month ago for $199.00 delivered.
Some very serious thought to making Florida (south of Tampa) for my late
winter stay (Jan/Feb/Mar). The money I would save on the pellets would be
close to what I would spend on rental.
Short sleeves, fishing, sunshine, would even walk with the wife, fresh fruit
no bugs.
Hard to pass up.

Maybe on the pellets but would of cost me $80.00 -100.00 bucks on fuel to get to your place. 120 round trip miles 5 miles to the gallon pulling 7500 lbs, 20 gallons x 3.99 .

He may have saved you that much? Never know till you ask/call.... The company would have been good, either way. Also you could have met "Pellet", and gave him a scratch behind the ear for me and imacman.....

$220.00 a ton isn't bad.. Depending on what it is...

I still have to make my way up there and grab my 2 tons I purchased.. 120 miles round trip is pretty far.... BUT..... Kinsman Stoves is about 95 miles from my house (Over an hr and a half drive. One Way). Which means 190 miles round trip.. Just Sayin.... Saved me some money, And I am gettin the same milage as you are.

Had 4 tons of Maine Woods Pellets delivered this morning. Only took 1/2 hour to restack them. I should be all set for next winter now. Price was good at $215.00 a ton but the delivery charge was a little high. I kind of expected it with the price of gas being what it is right now.

250 bags stacked neatly in the garage... $168 a ton... I'll start using them in October ...

$168.00 a ton is a great price, what kind are they ? We haven't seen those prices here since 04/05.

Agreed. Inquiring minds would like to know???? Especially living so close?

i'm ready too...260 bags loaded in the basement over memorial day weekend. i burned a bit over 4 tons last winter & ran out of pellets, so figured 5 tons for this season. price was right @ $234/ton for okanagan.

Ya! Shoot him. It will be back soon enough. Some of us wood burners need summer to season our wood. Not all fuel comes in a little baggy.
