I just ordered 4 tons of NEWPs from Spuria and Sons in Ashburnham, MA. 978-827-5069. $229 a ton plus $50 delivery. Mention Andy, It won't get either of us anything but I told the nice lady I'd post this and promised her some calls.

That is a great price on a great pellet. NEWP has their act together. Happy burning!

I would have to agree. Definately not top quality, but not the worst.

In general, we ask that anything other the the craziest super-super-super-super find or sale be posted at our fuel price guide as opposed to in the forums. These types of posts are only relevant to people in a small geo area...plus, the forum would get clogged with both self promoter and "other" promoters.

Both customers AND vendors can enter their prices at:

Agreed. Good price, but does no Good for a Guy here in Ohio. So because this Thread has been hi-jacked already...Craig??? Is that your Daughter or Grand Daughter in your Avatar? She is a Cutie. Just had a baby (well, the wife did. Not me.) last week. Love that little girl to death. Always wanted another boy. But she has me wrapped around her little finger already. Congrats Craig, Nice pic.

Guy was burning maine woods before...so any pellet would be be a "great" pellet!

Boy, Once a pellet gets a bad wrap around here. Its hard to shake. The latest offerings from MWP were well burning pellets. And NEWP has really listened to our complaints. They have been doing there home work and it showed in the latest batches I tried.

The pellets I consider garbage(dirt in a bag award!) is the Inferno's and there sister pellet Nation's Choice. You would need to pay me to even bother burning these! :)

it's not that i think new england pellets are garbage. i just think for the price you can always find a better pellet .they are a middle of the road pellet.... priced at a high end price

Smile, I have to agree with the price around us. They always seem to be higher than a comparable pellet. In different regions this isn't always the case though. Northern NY seems to have them for far lower prices than our CT area. So they aren't a bad deal if scored for a decent price. We just never seem to catch that in our region. But they have stepped up their standard to be on the higher side of the Premium grade(so might be worth a bit extra?). If you get a chance give them another trial run and post back how they do in your Breckwell. I'd like to hear what you think.

I just hope they don't slip back to there old ways! I probably will not give them another chance and stick my neck out again. But I have been told they are doing better in house checking. Less chance for something to slip past and make it to us. I have also heard they have listened to our complaints. 0.7%+ ash is supposed to be a thing of the past. There aimimg for less than 0.6% as a high and somewhere around 0.5% as an average ash content level. We might even see some batches less than that. I think they got our gripes about the NEWP name on the bag, But the lack of quality in the bag.

In my line of work, I have visited just a few pellet mills. Let's just say that having been to NEWP and met with management, I can say with confidence that they have their act together.
