I have a couple cords of wood that are to long for my stove. I made a buck to hold my wood so I can chainsaw it to the right lengths but don't like the design. I know there was a thread somewhere but I can't find it. Anyone have some photo's of the one you are using? TIA.

I have two of the one a 3-x and one a 2-x and put them together for bigger stuff!

I built this so I could cut the wood down to 14.75.

Scrap 2x4s and some plywood. The inside 2x4s are spaced to be length guides from each end.

Thanks guys. The crossed 2x4's one's are like the one I built. My problem was the wood I was cutting is really light/dry almost to the point of being piithy. When I would start cutting a log it would want to flip up because it's so light.
I like the box method! Whack a bunch in one swoop.

Got to cut to balance the load side to side. 5 X's keep you from doing that! So if you have a 3-x just build a 2-x and your in like flinn!

I made this one, I borrowed the design from another member who posted here.
It works really well, it is like a giant miter box. You can stack a bunch of wood in it, and cut right through it with the chainsaw.

Here's mine. A lot faster and safer than the old solution.
