Does anybody ever buy pellets from online suppliers and have them shipped? I am new to this and my new Harman P61a will be installed later this month and I want to stock up for next winter. My local HD is out of pellets and they say they will not get more until "next season", not sure when the "season" starts. Lowes expects to get more "within 48 hours". Anyway, just looking for good online merchants who would deliver to Western CT. I too am thinking that prices may go up over the next few months. Thanks.

Mike

Mike where you at in CT? There are lots of pellet dealers in CT that have pellets on hand.

Or you could use woodpellets.com and get $10 off w/ Code PB58857

I am in Danbury. I have been to woodpellets.com and their prices seem reasonable but not much of a choice. I was hoping I could pick up a few different bags to test before I buy in bulk but my local Lowes and HD are out. With gas going sky high, delivery charges will only go higher too. Thanks for any advice or locations with pellets.

I disagree. Oil can logically only go UP from here.

All the cheap oil (ie, close to shore) has been drilled. Everything left requires either
- harder exploration
- deeper drilling
- further shipping
- more refining (ie, shale)

We're past peak oil. Life as we know it will change in our lifetimes (well, at least most of the younger crowd).

I totally agree unfortunatley. America reached peak oil in the 70's on our shores. Very scarey what may be down the road.

Mike, get on the Lowes and HD web sites and make a list of the
stores that are within reasonable driving distance for you,
then start calling them to see what if anything they have for pellets.
Many of them are still getting deliveries. I did this last week and
scored 2 tons. Good luck!

WHAT HE SAID. I scored two tons last Saturday and would have missed out if I did not do the homework. You have your assignment so get to work! :)

^^

Besides what SHE said. Add to that list of places to call, Aubuchon, True Value, and Trustworthy Hardware stores, and feed and farming supply stores.

Local dealer upped prices on all brands $10 a ton, pellets must be moving.

Hey, our broke and broken state is going to tax home heating oil and pellets. If this stuff passes the legislature, there are going to start at 1%.... you know where that ends. Everything moving higher and higher. Stuff the rafters NOW.

In OH we pay regular sales tax on heating oil and on pellets. I'd love to trade for 1%! Local HD and Lowes are out of pellets; Menards and feed mill still have them.

Just took delivery of a skid of Oakies from Steve Barker of SIB enterprises out of Jay, Maine.

Anyone in Maine should look this guy up. Great prices. I SHOULD BE ALL SET NOW!!!!
