In The Woods
The Black Lagoon is found deep in the bowels of the Raquette River. Legend has it that many years ago, two local boys (neighbors both aged 12) drove their small fishing boat into the lagoon just at twilight. They were not seen again for more than 15 hours. Parents and neighbors searched frantically for all those 15 hours to no avail. Police were brought in as well as an underwater recovery team. Then suddenly the two boys were found about ¼ mile away where Little Cold Brook runs into the Raquette River. The boys were sitting on a low branch of a pine tree. The boat was never found. The rescuers who came across them were retracing their tracks from a few minutes earlier and were stumped as to they could have missed the boys on the way through. The boys grew up, but neither spoke again.

I suppose this is one way to keep folks from stealing wood from your woodpile. ;) :)

The nice Cherry that was down inside the Black Lagoon (State Land) will end up just rotting. Four good size Cherry trees just laying there.

That fact has already been proven . . . we're pretty sure Quads = Bigfoot . . . we do know he is rarely seen on camera. ;) :)
