well im over half done on my wood stacking
i order 4 cords . and right now it looks like i might have 3.5 or so

i have 2.13 stacked right now and there is 1 and a half loads left . should have been 1 cord per load.

what should i do. the guy told me to let him know if i was short or not.

what do you guys think

Sounds like you should let him know...But I would wait til your done. :coolhmm:

yeah probably a good idea. then give him a more exact number
all the guy has is alittle dump trailer. 10 - 12 feet long
really nice guy i hope he comes good on the deal
was only 185 a cord
had it all cut to 14 inch or less, for the lil f100

Yea if he told you to let him know, he is guessing a little its less labour and easier for him to return.

I too would wait until you are finished stacking and then, if short, call. I'd be sure to show the man how much you got. Have the tape measure ready when he gets there.

Yeah. The short splits are probably what is throwing him off.

I could be wrong but I would think a seller who is hoping for repeat business would want a customer to let him know he was shorted so he could make it right.

Am I being naive?

(I'm sure there are disreputable sellers. I'm talking the majority of them.)

I dont think so, and thats what the seller said to do...

I'd let him know, and offer to buy the extra for a full load to make it worth his while to come out with the shortfall.

Sounds like the guy is genuine, and I'd always want someone like that as my wood supplier, look after him and you are set for future supplies.

You mean, pay the supplier to come out and give you the wood you already paid for? That makes no sense to me.

No. I mean if the shortfall is less than a load, say a smallish amount, I'd be inclined to ask him to make it up to a full load to make it well worth his while coming out.

Say a shortfall is half a cord, the trailerload is a cord, I'd buy the extra half cord.

I did that with our local tree surgeon a while back, and we are best of freinds now :)
