Heat Index here is 106.

The answer is NO!!

Ha ha, no burnin here for sure. Me and the old lady went tubin today on the lake and it's even too hot for that, now I'm hiding inside with the A/C sipping Bacardi and coke's.

just got done with the prep for the re-union tomorrow. figured i would only be there till 10:00 am or so. man, was i off! did manage to burn myself checking one of the commercial ovens (meatballs) on the door-wearing shorts.
so, i guess i was burning for a little while...
on the positive side- we almost had some actual members (of the family whose re-union it is) show up!

still no help from them who suggested it, though....

but, it's all good, eh?

Yeah no burning here at 90 degrees headed for a hundred for the next few days. Did repair a chainsaw though.

110 heat index here right now.Not burning anything here but my steak will be burning at AMVETS Post in about 30 minutes.

63F outside here, but at least it's nice and sunny.

In the Winter it is great, we have no end to the amount of heat we could produce here in the store.
but in the summer..... well not so good.
Both AC units have run non stop from when we walked in this morning because we have had a steady flow of customers.
Thankfully no know has lit a wood stove but we have had Pellet stoves and Gas stove on and off all day!

I think my scalp got sun burn today. I'mpretty sure that doesn't count.

I did walk past the Morso on my way to get a glass of scotch. ;-)

Light that Morso. You are either a wood burner or you are not!

(Having a taste of a young scotch at the moment myself. With air conditioning.)

I'm burning today! Gasoline. Got to mow. Almost 100 yesterday and today will be around 90.

If I see one more "wow its summer and I am/am not burning thread, I'm gonna flip out. It happens every year people! Sometimes in June its cold and you burn something! Move this to the "omfg its still chilly" forum.

Happy 4th Wood burnin geeks!

I was burning yesterday; burning up the road that is, on my bicycle. No sunburn but don't expect one either as I am well tanned. I don't burn much anyway but am a bit more tender skinned than I used to be. I guess it has something to do with this age thing. Still nice to be out on the bike.

I am burnin today.....and not in a good way....burnin up with a fever of 101...very sick....not the freakin holiday weekend I was hopin for.....that is the only problem working in healthcare.....I get sick a lot....we have had a lot of patients coming in lately with colds, bugs...you never know what those people have.....(I can not even insert smiley LOL now)....that's pretty sad no LOL smiley from the Gamma... sad smiley.....:(
enjoy your holiday weekend burners....

AC is back on here, as the humidity level is creeping up. We have had a few days of mid 80's with low humidity and low 60's-high 50's at night, you gotta love that. All the windows open in the house, birds chirping in the morning. Now it is July, house tightened up, AC is on and the birds have been replaced by the hum of the Friedrich AC units kicking on and off. Still got about a cord of wood, of a three cord drop, delivered in April to stack though. It is getting lighter and lighter by the day. I can't wait to fire this stuff up, a lot of walnut, box elder, locust, and maple, with a little bit of red oak. Just as I wanted, and it was all cut in winter of 2009-2010. I now have a business agreement with a tree cutting company, and I will never go back to buying off of Craigslist.

Gamma, that is not good to hear. Hope you are feeling better today. Yes, that is one of the hazards in your field. Do you ever see people who are not sick? That is one reason I did not become a doctor.

We've been frequently burning in the fire pit. The fireflies have been
amazing in the last couple of weeks, and the bats always put on a good show in
their pursuit of higher flying insects.

54 degrees and raining right now, suppose to get down to upper 40's tonight. not burning right now but may start one up this evening!

Yippee, Summer's here at last, 75f outside.........

The only fire lit round here is outside in the fire pit ;-)

Eh no burning wood here...

I did go stove shopping today and yesterday though. Had to get back on hearth to check reports of my findings. I know ling time gone, but a change in jobs for the better has kept me away.

Wife and i are leaning toward hampton 3100 insert or enviro 1700 boston.
Anyone got thoughts..? Id love to hear. Going to be preping hard for this winter. Have this yeards wood ready and have been splitting next years and years after.

Swinging that spilting axe is burning enough

Wow, we've been sunny most of the day. At 67 it was a bit cooler than yesterday, but it was a good day for yard work. Oh well. Nothing like the old Puget Sound convergence zone to dampen a day, eh? Looks like the sun has made it your way now and sunny is the forecast for tomorrow. Cmon summer, bring it on!

A tad warm here. The latest round of violent thunder storms knocked out the electricity a couple of hours ago. Ain't gonna string the cords and fire the gennies in the rain so I am stress testing those four deep discharge batts in the basement that have been sitting there unused on the trickle charger for ten years. Every other time I just fired the generators. This time I figured it is time to see if anything is left in those things. Looks like there is.
