How is everyone doing ?? Having a good summer?? I've been away from the forum for a while. Getting my garage ready for this coming seasons Pellets. I'm getting 5 tons of Somersets from the local Gil Roy Hardware. They will be delivering it also at 15 a trip which is nice. Hope everyone is having a nice summer ...

Doing Great... Working outside and just took a break for a "Tasty... Ice Cold... Adult Beverage".. I loved my Somersets last year.. I wish I would have bought more when they were $175/Ton at Menard's.. Good luck and see ya around (The Forum)..

Doing great! How much are you paying per ton for the Somersets? TSC is offering them at $200/ton + tax here in Cincinnati.

Well, the TSC where I live are only selling Michigan Brand Pellets. I might as well be putting feline pine into my stove. Michigan Brand Pellets are really bad, ask others here. I think I'm going to be paying around 219 for them.

Well so far I'm doing fine.

But here abouts today is all there is for summer, we have two seasons in Maine Fourth of July and winter.

Going to roll the snow blower out a little latter and she if it will turn over. Yesterday the old banking was removed from around the house and tomorrow we rebank with fresh stuff.

Saturday we held our second canning day of the year and did 7 batches of strawberry rhubarb jam (24 pints).

Cucumbers have flopped over and are running, pole beans are running, corn is about a foot high, squash is in the process of flopping, we harvested our first turnip Saturday, the bush beans are flowering, we have several tomatoes set and a pile of blossoms, the watermelon is growing in one of our compost bins as are some pumpkins and gourds (one of the wife's waste of garden space).

My first batch of beer is about ready to try. I need to locate a good supply of PET bottles, seems every time I want to buy some they are out. I'd like to do several batches in a row as now is the time that you don't have to worry about needing additional heat to keep the fermenter at proper temperatures.

As you can see this household has started loading up the food larder for winter.

I forget what the winter is like when we have had already 15 plus 100 degree days! I am ready to burn pellets again!!

It's pretty warm here in SW Ohio and the stove is cleaned up and waiting for the fall. No hurry though, the pool keeps me busy and at times I prefer a nice dip after mowing as long as I have a cold one in hand..
Let's not wish the summer away too fast....lean back and enjoy it.

Life is good...and it should get better once we fix the error made in 08'....

God Bless America, our Troops and Capitalism.

Will be getting my Somersets for 219.88. I can get junkier pellets for around 197 like michigans, but its not worth the price savings. Ordered first 3 tons and will be getting 2 other tons ordered within weeks. * Update *
