After cutting up 3 cords of wood and running 3 or 4 tanks of gas through it my new saw seems to be running better. Is this normal break-in stuff or am I high?

When do you plan on telling us what you got? I have made up my mind that it's 361, but I wanna hear it from you. I'm looking for a new saw and haven't decided what to get yet. I might go 361/362 but I really am considering bigger, because I'm young and don't mind lugging around a big saw for the small jobs, too.

I am loving this 440. The head isn't much heavier than my 290, but the extra 5" of bar and chain makes for some noticeable extra heft. I almost went with the 460 as it's the same size and weight, but I drew the line at $1000.

All I can tell ya about the '62 that it was in the shop once with a warrantee issue with the coil. It's only been back a week, and in the "slow" season. They (Stihl + the shop) where great to deal with - even through a holiday weekend.
This is a "proving ground" sort of speak - if they don't kill it at there (at work), It'll last a live time anywhere else!
Don't let my (our) misfortune discourage you about a 362 - It's a great saw (as long as you don't let J.Azzez use it

Yep, when I got my new wild thing at walmart with a 24" bar, it took until about the 5th tank before it could turn the chain. Now I'm cutting up Christmas trees like nobody's business.

Limited run of the legendary 440 going on now......only problem is you better bring your wallet, priced very close to a 660.

My understanding is that the big "fancy innovation" on the 441 saves you 10-20% on gas. I'll take it.
