yes very nice area, love the Adirondack's and the Catskills, wish I lived up here, really hate the Rat race of the city

Have always enjoyed seeing rainbows.

BXpellet, I can certainly understand hating the rat race. Only the rats win.

In NYC, its everything now!!!!!!!!!! work is such a grind no times to smell the roses, start to hate humanity,

sorry guys just venting have to go back to work on Monday I know its Friday

Wasn't it Thoreau who wrote, "We live thick and in each other's way and thereby lose respect for one another." That may not be the exact wording buy you get the idea. Then when we consider when those words were written and compare it to today, it really rings true. Myself, I have never felt so alone as when I have been in big crowds.

Nice quote, ok I feel better somewhat, thanks for the words of encouragement, Have my health, family and working I should be grateful, just stuck in a rut

That's it!!

love the adirondacks!! heading to lake luzerne for a week in a couple of days. Cant wait to chill and get in some hiking. Looking to find the trailhead for the northville placid trail. want to do the trail in spring. solitude is even better when you have great views and a hiking buddy who likes it quiet.

In my younger days I did some nice hiking and wilderness camping starting out out @ Moose River Rec. area, plenty of solitude there, the Northville Lake Placid area cuts through it.

When you get into the interior sections you can hike for days and not see a single person.

I've caught my fair share of fish on the lake. Also Brant Lake. I miss that area dearly. Thanks for that photo and spurring my memory.

if you were up there now you would have some issues getting to some towns, lots of flooding up that way now.
