A had to buy that 36cc echo....just too clean to pass up. It was just bought in April (manufactured March 2010). Clean...clean...clean. Bar is straight, piston isnt scorched, the chain is still pretty sharp. It really is almost right out of the box! Can't beat that for $100 !! :)

Very nice!!!

Can't remember without checking the other thread. Is that a 14" bar? If it is, and it eventually wears out, then I'd replace it with a 12... Super light, super fast.

Man, that's a REALLY good deal. Where'd you get it?

I got it from a guy selling it on Craigslist -- he asked for $125. I figured it couldnt hurt to ask if he would take $100 -- and he said OK.

Danno -- it takes a 14,16, or 18" ...but it came with the 16". I'm glad I bought it...now Ive just got to tell the wife! .....or do I?

Good deal. I have the 440 and love it, used it today on some down Manitoba Maple.

You know... she just mentioned that she wants to buy a new webcam tonight, so she can Skype with her sister and nephew in Minnesota....Of coarse, I said - "thats sounds like a good idea!" How much do those things cost, anyway? She gets herself a little present today --- I get myself a little present today........... ;-P

... And that, my single friends, is how the game is played. ;-)

Fan,

You should know that in some circles you would be told "You Suck!" for such a score. Wish I'd seen it first!

Should handle 14" just fine. Regardless, hand-filing to razor sharpness makes life easy and long for the whole saw.

That's a cute little saw. Good score! A C

It looks like new to me too! I have a Japanese Echo GT1100 weed wacker that I bought over 20 yrs. ago and it still runs.. Very good engines and durable..

Good Luck!

Rarely, in this life, am I on the smiling end of a spontaineous reaction. I got lucky 3x in my LIFE - 1st time-wife. 2nd time- son. 3rd time -baby on the way. 4th time- little 36.3cc Echo from Craigslist. I was happy with the first 3...now Im just giddy! :p

You'll be happy with it. I've had my little 306 for 8 years now and use and abuse it regularly. They are tough, well built saws. Got mine at HD for $75.00 Found it in that obscure corner of the store with the re-conditioned tools nicely tucked away so no one can find them. The price was somewhere around $150 or so but when I showed the store manager that it was missing the gas and oil caps, he knocked the price down a bit. Congrats on the deal!

Running a CS 4500 for several years now. Probably cut close to 100 cords with it on a 20" bar. It's like a timex watch, sweet, dependable and light enough to carry all day.

Great price and soooo cute. Don't tell the wife...she might get jealous.
