Soon I can have some numbers on the Eden pellets. The nights are getting colder. Is it sad that it is August and I am excited to burn pellets? What I do know about them is they are dusty not fines in the bottom of the bag but more like baby powder on the pellets. The length seems good some longer maybe an inch in the bag but not many. They smell great to me. Think plywood section of home depot. I dissolved a full bag of pellets looking for odd materials and found only wood also noticed that they are made out of fine sawdust not chips like the NEWP and Cubex I carry. The pellets are very dense for the reason of the fine sawdust they are made out of, the pallets I have are about one layer of bags shorter that the cubex and NEWP but the bags weighed in at 40lbs and 50 on the pallet. The clear outer bag is UV protected so they can sit out side without falling apart after a month in the sun. Any other info I can get on the I will post.

I burned GAP's last year I liked them they put out some heat. I would highly recommend that you try them. Also if you do a search here for Great American pellets you find a couple of threads with more info. What is the price?

price here is 285.00 a ton. seems like most pellets are in that range except for okanagans(320) and country boy white lightning (325)

I tried to get a burn temp on the Eden's tonight and they were burning great until the stove over temped. I burned for about three hours and the ash content was almost nill. The only odd thing was the small amount I had was like heavy chalk dust. The flame looked great and the pellets fed through the auger nice and smooth. The out side temp was 61 F and the stove became so hot that we got scared and put a piece of cement board between it and the wall. The stove was located in a 10x14 shed with one side completely open to the out side. I will try again tomorrow night and then burn the NEWP and Cubex as a base line.

Prices are high on L I. I would grab some Stow Chow or Greene Teams both proven big box brands and also get some GAP's for the colder days when that extra heat is needed helps keep your cost down just my $.02 Good Luck and happy pellet hunting.

thanks,
I'm going to try to get to home depot before the storm rolls in .

I'm also curious about the eden pellets . let us know how you make out

thanks , bill
