Hey Loco Gringo: It's corn and cucumbers.

In the background is corn and cucumbers. Usually I plant the bi-color corn, but this year went with the plain old yellow. It's just about ready now, haven't eaten an ear of it yet this year, but should be munching on it by the weekend. Cucumbers are taking over the garden as usual and producing more than we can use. Always end up giving them away to the local nursing home.

Very Nice quads... Love the Woodpiles in the Foreground... Very Nice.. That looks like a "Hybrid" pile.. Not a straight stack. Not a HH.. Looks great. Very nice piece of property you got there.

Thanks! This was in reply to another thread where forum member Loco Gringo asked me about my corn and cucumbers. The three rows of wood in the foreground, lower left corner of the pic, are tipped over. I stack in rows like that because I have so much wood that I don't very often waste posts on it, I'd need a bunch, this is just one of my stacking areas. Posts are saved for the fence to keep the cows in anyway!

Garden looks good quads. Mine's over run by weeds now. We've been eating sweet corn here for well over a month, is yours always this late?

Yup, it's always this late. Even the commercial irrigated sweetcorn isn't ready until late July. Our growing season is pretty short. Usually can't plant the garden until Memorial Day weekend without worrying about frost.

quads, your place looks very peaceful and relaxing, i could spend all day in that garden, but since i dont have the stacks of firewood like you it is always a priority after work to go and cut some and split
and stack it

Dug up some of mine quads. Upper portion is taters. Another reason I wont swing a maul all summer.

Very nice!

Thanks! I haven't had a lot of time this summer to post as many pictures as I wanted to.
