I missed all the excitement. Neighbor across the street lost a big Oak, a Locust and a big branch off another Locust. Next door up the street lost Pine tree and neighbor on the other side had some large branches come down. Was a busy morning around here... He had some help cutting it all up and had a tree service take the tree out by the house. Here are the pics.

Well?? Are you getting some wood? :)

I got a bunch of locust from him a few weeks ago when a big branch came down. He hired a tree service for the big tree by the house. There are a few big Oak rounds left over there I might get. He had 3 or 4 people there with saws today cleaning it up. They took most of the other big stuff and I stayed out of the way. I just got a log load on sat, so I'm really not looking for more, I got enough cutting and splitting to do.

That would be sweet to get the wood so close to you. Did you get some high winds there or is this still from Irene?

Just a very local high intensity thunder storm on Sat. Irene we just got a little rain.We are getting more rain from the one now than Irene. I wasn't home when it happened but did drive under a tree that was leaning on the power lines just down the road :bug: Never dropped the line and my power never went out

That must have been quite a storm for sure. Glad you came out okay.

Should have taken the locust, you can never have enough of it.

They were swarming with saws, I stayed away. The more I think about it the more I want to got those 5 or 6 30+" pieces of oak the rest of them were scared to try to split :p

I got a good size piece of locust from him a few weeks ago and some old maple that was behind the shed.

The branch plus the free stuff... I know, got to take the good with the bad but it all will burn
