The fellas are now touching on what I was asking earlier, your setup. Stovepipe, a route to the roof, hearth, clearances etc etc. I have been gone a few hours and I see your in a tough spot with the insert. You may get lucky and clean it up a bit and sell it, it's that time of year where you may just get lucky and find someone looking. As far as what you need to do in order to burn this season, it seems as if you have a little bit of research to do. Hope this doesn't kill the wallet on short notice (you have a few months to go)

I am in a tough spot now but the insert is on craigs list now and the hunt begins for a free standing stove. I wasn't sure what you where getting at about the rest of the setup but now I know. It has been an interesting day here getting the stove cleaned up and for sale and lots of thinking about what the next step will be.

Any bites yet? See anything of interest out there to replace it with? Got anywhere with your pipe runs and logistics?

No bites on the insert yet but I found a few stoves on craigs list. I got the craigs list app on my phone now so it does all the searching for me. I have tried to figure out the material for the pipe but until I get the stove in place I don't think thats possible. I know it will need an offset to get to the hole in the ceiling above the stove and might need a second one before the second story ceiling depending where the rafter is. I have been busy all weekend cutting and splitting wood. Got 2 pickup loads home and about 3 more out in the woods still. Today I was helping a friend clean up a tree that blew over in a storm we had about a month ago. We only got the branches cut up into stove size. We didnt get to the main trunk today but when we do it will be interesting.
