I have and old Scandia woodstove I have uninstalled from the house I just bought. It's in decent shape, but it is a Scandia. I've tried listing it on craigslist for awhile but haven't found a taker. Now it is just sitting on my covered porch, collecting light surface rust and making my house look slightly more rustic than it already is.

So what to do with it? Lawn Ornament? Srap metal?

Can I get ANYTHING for it?

How about a back yard camp fire unit?

Backyard fire pit I have considered, but if I am going to have a fire pit in my backyard I want to burn scrap wood etc. I am not sure if I feel like working everything down to woodstove size for that.

Keep it from rusting and wait for cold weather. Someone on cl will want it when they are cold.

Wire brush off the rust and give it a good coat of hi-temp stove paint. Then wait a month, it will sell quickly for $50-100 as long as it is still in decent condition.
