6 tons of green supremes. ready to keep my 2500sf house at a comfy 70 all winter!

Hello NateM

Nice Stash!

I bought my dealers private label doug fir pellets this year (Western Elites)...$211.00/ton IIRC...bought two tons plus I have about 30 bags of Southern Indiana Hardwoods left from last season...

That should do me unless I buy another stove for the shop...

2 tons of leftover Clean Fire hardwoods (still in outdoor shed), plus in the basement there's a ton of Lignetics Hardwood/softwood mix, a ton of Lignetics hardwood, 30 bags of leftover Barefoots, plus a mixture of other brands I've collected since last winter. Keeping my eyes open for more IF a great deal presents itself. I can get another ton into the basement if I want. OINK OINK!!

Good choice as it will leave more of good stuff for the rest of us.

Looks like brew bottling day might be tomorrow for me.

This will be my second year with the stove. Last season I burned a little less than 3.5 tons (12/10 install) through one of these ...
100_0635.jpg

I'll likely go through more this season. I've got 3 tons of Turmans and 34 bags of Hamers left over from last season in the shed. I'll likely try to pick up a sub $200 shoulder season ton which I hope will get us through this season. I'm not wishing any time away but, I'm ready for the fall ... new heating season and a new bird season with the pup!

Check out your local Lowes or Home Depot. A ton of $197 Ctove Chows would be perfect for that.....IF they have them.

3 tons even.

Nice, where is the pic?

I will get one on. With all the rain here I think I will build a boat soon.

Last year uncle jeds cold remedy pellets about $200 a ton this year they wanted $257 a ton.I eneded up buying 4 tons of the somsersets for $184 a ton.coobie

Sitting on 4.5 or so, And itching to stuff another. I'll post a picture once I tidy up down there.

Edit:
What I will do different is buy as the supply allows. Once there's room and the price is low, I'll refill the stash. If the price goes out of bounds I'll keep using what I have until I find a comfy deal to refill. But you will need the room to handle having more than needed, Don't worry as the fuel doesn't go bad as long as its kept high and dry!

Greene Team, some Stove Chow, Green Supreme, and
Okanagan. Totals around 3 1/2 tons I think
but am working on adding another ton of whatever to the stash.
What did I do different this year? 3 1/2 tons stocked by early Spring.
Never did that before. Hoping to keep the stove off for another month.

edit: added fresh pics taken today. 18 more bags will put me at 4 tons.
Use 2-3 in a heating season so have plenty for this upcoming winta.

Does it count if they are still on the trailer? One ton of GT's for the inlaws and one for me. Picked them up at my local Lowes earlier today and had the two tons waiting for me outside and I told them to send them back and get me two different ones, they both had bags that were water logged. They brought me another and again took it back and finally I followed the forklift inside to choose my skits where I finally found two perfect ones. They need to take better care of these things if they want to keep them out in the rain.

This was taken early this afternoon when there was finally a break in the rain, then as soon as I started the first bag into the inlaws' house it started to pour again I had to cover it back up and wait. My ton is still on the trailer, hopefully tomorrow they will be all in the house.

The only change for me this year is an additional ton of GT's added to 1 ton leftover of TC's from last year. I'll be switching back and forth between the two as I only used 1 ton last year and about 5 cords of firewood.

Also I painted the pallets with Latex Enamel Paint from White Street's Paint Supply. I plan to keep these OAK wood pallets for a while. LOL

Funny, I was certain that New Hampshire was in the grips of an ice age.
