Second year with my Lopi Endeavor and I have at least 3 years worth of wood stashed around the farm. We cut another cord of Post Oak last weekend and have a neighbor that has some more oak trees that she needs to have removed so we plan on cutting them in a couple of weeks. The wife can just see me eyeballing the stove every time I go by it, chomping at the bit to light that first fire of the season. It is way to warm to need a fire but I just can't help myself, I am ready for stove season!!!!

Make excuse viable, and cook something off or in it...pizza iv heard.

35 here this morning but no fire yet. Not bad in the house at all. However, the wood is not that far away if we decide we need a short fire.

Hey Savage, I know you have heard the term "Smoke em if you got em!" That is my theory on the wood and I got em. I know the new will wear off in a few years but for now it is still a blast to burn and saves some $$$ in process.

Sixman, I'd have thought you would have had enough heat down there already. If not, there seems to be plenty of fires all around, why would you need one in the house? :)

It's funny how you get used to the 105-110 heat and then it gets down to the 50-60s and dang it's cold. It was over 100 yesterday and it felt pretty good, today it is 84, almost jacket weather.

Yes, a 20 degree difference will be felt. Today here is it 53 degrees with a cold NW wind.
