They are all about the same price in the off season ,the NC-30 goes up in the high season to about $1200 (before Xmas) Around $700 after Jan. Read some good reviews on the Napoleon and I own a 30 So i know thats a winner.

I don't know about the Napoleon or US Stove, but if they were equals to the NC-30 then I'd look at potential customer support and price. I think the Englander is one of the best bangs for the buck, it has a very reliable track record and outstanding factory direct customer support.

Look hard at the Englander, I think you will like it.

Good luck,
Bill

Already have a 30,just wondering if those other 2 compare. Need a stove for another location,so if the 30 Goes to $700 again may get another one,if not may try something else.

I would stick with Englander. US Stove is made in China and Nap will be a fair bit expensive. NC30 is good value for the money and it gets a lot of love here because of their good customer support. If you are looking at something different in a large box try the Drolet HT2000 on Northern Tools. Look at the customer reviews.

Where is a good place to buy the NC30? I was looking at the US Stove for price and size (I thought the NC30 would be to big) but for $700 I wouldn't mind picking up one.

Dont worry about oversizing you can always dial down the air. Unless your space is extremely small. The advantage of being able to load 3CU ft of wood in the stove for a longer burn time is hard to beat. Smaller stoves require more frequent loading. AS far as the 30 IM waiting for February 2012, as last year they were down to $669 at Home depot by that time.

The area I would put it in is our basement at about 500sqf.

Was that price from HD online or in the store? I talked to our local HD and they were Not getting ANY wood stoves in this year due to the economy he said. He said to try a different store that was in a more rural area.

If you can measure the actual fire box size, not always what they claim.

Go to HD web site and make the store one in Pennsylvania. Type in englander and this will make the price 650 bux if not it will be 1100 bux. Don't ask why...

Your right PWF Amazing!

Yea, I don't get it either!

You should tell my wife I am right, nah, she won't believe you! ;-)

That is crazy!!!

I guess maybe they sell allot more in Pa for some reason?

Using the Pa store they have 30-NCH listed for $649. The picture shows it with legs but the 13-NCH shows a pedistal does anyone know what is comes with or both?

Also, it doesn't mention anything about a fan, I guess that is an option too?

Comes with legs, pedistal, and small blower. I actually just called to get a blower cause it came with none. I mentioned this to the lady who is at Englander stoves and she said it should have came with it. So I registered the stove and got the blower that should have came with it... Very pleasent experience here!

Just ordered the 30 for $649 free shipping to my home. plus 0 interest with my HD card for a year
