This is about 10-12 cords worth in a 16' ss liner over two years.
It is very flaky and powdery. I thought it was pretty good.
I screwed around last summer with fishing, camping, playing, etc. and did not get my sweep done before the snow fell.
This is about right, the year before i had about half this much.

Not too bad if you ask me! That's 2 years worth!

Now I gotta get my chimney swept, I am waiting on the sweep! He should be here within the next 2 weeks.

With the weather being the way it has been; we may have snow in two weeks! J/k... I was out on the ocean last night and booooyyyy, did I wish I had a nice warm fire then!

Yikes, guess I should sweep mine soon!

Not good?
Considering all i have to burn is pine, and 2 years worth, i was impressed with the lack of.

That's not bad at all. However, I would recommend at least a yearly inspection w/ a good strong light to check things out. If it looks good then leave it, but I just sleep better knowing that I at least did a visual inspection.

I agree pen, the first year i hardly had any, second year very little as well, so last year like i said i put it off and put it off till it was too late. I will from now on (as i did today) take one day to take down and winterize the swamp cooler and clean my liner and stove.

Looks okay to me with a 2 year burn. And yes, annual inspection and usually annual cleaning. Sometimes even more often. bfunk, you probably burn some good wood.

I hit mine at the beginning of the season and again mid-term. I would not feel safe going 2 years. As far as accumulation...I do not think its all that bad. You can do better but that is nothing to be alarmed about but again, I would do it every year. Your sleeping 20-40 feet from a 1000 degree glowing inferno. Better safe then sorry...
