I took both of these pictures on the Upper West Side of Manhattan this week during my lunch time walks. Unfortunately, they are both crappy cell phone pics.
This guy took off just as pushed the go button.

I think this guy got washed down from the Catskills by all the Irene flooding.

I liked the seagull pic the most, interesting how flexible thier wings are.
 
Somehow that is just not what I pictured when you titled this as NYC wildlife.

That's what I figured. It was a little guy. Probably 1 1/2" long, minus the tail. Can they live in salt/brackish water?
 
Great pic of the seagull...you know I do love birds.... :)
The turtle pic is cool too....he looks like baby "Gamera".....his tusks did not come in yet and he does not realize his ability to fly :lol:
 
Ill try to get some pictures of the seals in NYC harbor this winter! We see more and more every year that passes!
 
I saw one in the Hudson up around 72 st once.
