Does anyone have any experience with the Blue Max 20 ton or any blue max splitter? IS it good, junk or will do the trick? My nieghbor and I are going to buy a splitter and he works at HD so he wants to get this one. We will be splitting 6-10 cords a year with this. Any thoughts, experiences, trouble, anything....would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen them but never used them. I don't like the half beam, hollow toe plate, 32s cycle time, Blue Max engine, yard tires, or overall cheap construction. Spend an extra $100 and get the Huskee 22-ton from TSC; it's a much better built machine.

Seems like people are in the same boat with this. I will have to discuss this more with my neighbor. The one in our local store is not the same as the one online when you find them at hd.com, but I will have to do some better comparisons. He wants it because he can put his half on his HD card and get 0% for 12 months. But I want to make sure we get the most bang for our buck. Thanks for the replies.

I'd also opt for the Huskee 22 ton from TSC at that price. If I absolutely had to but one from home depot, I'd buy the Ariens splitter, or better yet, try to score a good deal on one of the rental Speecos as they typically have the Honda GX series commercial engines.
