I live in Wilmington De and I am considering buying a pellet stove to replace my wood stove. I have found two places (The Fireplace Shop and Angersteins) in my area that sell pellet stoves. The two stoves that were recommended by the two dealers is the Regency GF55 and the Harmon P43. I know very little about pellet stoves and would like to hear some information and opinions from anyone who has used or are familiar with these stoves. Does anyone know of any other dealers in Delaware that they would recommend or where to buy pellets?

Both of these stoves are good units and will do a nice job. FYI the Regency GF55 is a clone of the Enviro Meridian.

Seeing that most stoves are chose by looks and/or price? How much were they asking for them???

Angersteins dose not provide Service only sales of the stoves. I would not go with Harman unless they also provide support. I bought mine from another dealer that sold his business to another then lost Harman. As a result had to fork out close to $300 for a repair that should have been covered in labor fees. Had to have my burn pot and auger tube assembly replaced and Harman only cover about a third of the cost. The Harman stoves are nice but if no support would be a deal breaker for me.

The price for the regency seems real high! Is that the installed price???? If not the Harman is a no brainer!

Think there is a Harman Dealer off of RT 40 after the Delaware line.

Those prices are for the stoves only not installed. What would be a reasonable price for the Regency? Thanks for the feedback

Call a few other dealers to see what their price is

A Harman Dealer has to provide service for it's units that it sells. I would ask them about this.

Last time I checked they did not have a service department, they use a third party and the customer pays for him to do the service. They are the ones I went through to get the warranty work done.
