Looking for someone else who has same stove as mine for Q&A's. I've only had my insert less than a month.

Boozie has one, see if she'll respond-(but her's smokes like a fat guy at a cigar bar). She may......wait...oh crap, sorry- only saw the thread title. Nevermind. %-P

Beetle-Kill you are BAAAAAAAD. :)

I'm sorry.......no, not really. Too much fun being the smartazz for a change. "davidmc" has a 91, there are quite a few others. After a day or so, pop this thread to the top by asking a question. Sooner or later, an owner will reply.

Hi Barb, just found this post.
I really like my Buck.
What do you have questions about? I have just been running mine this season but I will try to help.

David

Got one of those. Second year burning with it. Good heat and long burns. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

How much are they selling for new?

thanks !!

Got mine used but I'm guessing a new one is between $2,000 and $2,500. And I don't think there are anymore tax credits right now.

I looked at one at a dealer yesterday. I believe it was $1799 with a black door and $1999 with gold. If I'm wrong, then it was around $2200. I was just browsing and looked at the Buck and the Osburn 2400.

Hi. I purchased my Buck 91 new in December of 2010. The stove alone was $2399.
'course I had to have stainless steel liner installed (have a chimney I don't trust), Flashing, adapter, rain cap, and a mantle protector. Plus installation at $750. Total cost right at $4,000.

Hope this helps. It really puts out the heat. It took me a while to learn how NOT to make smoke signals (as the guys will attest to). Hope I remember how to build a fire this year. :)

P.S. Hey guys I got me a moisture meter, so no one gonna trick this old lady this year with wet wood. :)
