Gamma, you will stand out anyways without the New England accent, but you'll be fine. Don't get excited about the Moxie. The last I heard it tasted like fermented locust bark, with fizz.
 
thanks to all who replied. i'm well once again. can almost sleep through a night (was up at 3:30 this a.m. wide awake)
according to the one reply of "color of sinus discharge" is was an infection not allergies. i've never had allergies and plan on not developing them!!???
along with the sinus crap was body chills, no fever, extreme body aches and also a strong hacking cough...the cough is almost gone now also.
i haven't been on here (hearth.com) much since then, and was surprised to see all the responses.

thanks again to everyone that helped out! i appreciate it much!!!

dont be afraid to say it was the moxie yooper.....no shame in drinking moxie.
 
Just to liven things up and make sure everything naughty is dead up there, I'd throw in a few drops of tea tree oil.

Agreed, development of allergies show a shocking lack of self-control.
 
Missed this thread . . . now this explains why I was being asked to bring Moxie to Woodstock this weekend . . .

Personally I never heard that Moxie was a cure-all . . . I mean with the gentian root extract it tastes like it has cough medicine mixed with cola in it . . . both of which may have some medicinal value . . . but I've always liked it for the unique taste -- a blend of sweet and bitter . . . it really is an acquired taste . . .

I think it becomes a cure-all once you mix in the other ingredients (garlic, wolf bane, old stale beer, rot gut whiskey, eye of newt, etc ....).

I think it becomes a cure-all once you mix in the other ingredients (garlic, wolf bane, old stale beer, rot gut whiskey, eye of newt, etc ....).

But why ruin perfection . . . I mean a friend of mine who is from Ohio, but likes folks to think he is a dyed in the wood Maniac likes to dilute his Moxie with rum.

Now that party would be somewhat of a Maniac if he diluted it with some Allen's coffee brandy.
