I have an englander NC30 and a local shop has a Pacific Super 27 on Pedestal base for 650.00 I know this stove is well built I'm heating about 1500 square feet with the NC30 but I'm not sure I'm utilizing it's full potential. Any opinions I know it's a killer deal but need to get opinions. I hear the Super27 will get a long burn for the firebox size. Should I get it??

Are you unhappy with the 30?

Nothing really wrong just gets a little hot sometimes crack a door and evens out. Other wise chimney works and stays clean and it does what it's supposed I think I'll pass I have never seen a Englander with broken welds.

Thanks

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The PE hype machine can be hard to resist. They are excellent stoves. You also have an excellent stove. I wouldn't change a thing.

Put less wood it in it or monster splits? :cheese:

$650 is a great price. I would pick it up and resell it in a month or two. If the stove is in nice condition it will bring at least $1K. Otherwise, pass this info on to a friend in need.

As said above, don't fix what ain't broke. Keep the 30. turning the stove for a profit is also a possibility given the time of the season. My vote is for status quo.

Ship me your 30.

It's brand new at a dealer floor model they bought out a Lopi dealer and have too many lines reducing inventory. I think I'll keep my NC30 I've tried other stoves and been unsatisfied. Englander burns well, Simple to repair easy access to parts and Made in the USA.

Wish I lived closer. I'd pick that unit up in a heartbeat.

For the greenhouse or just to resell?

If I were closer, I'd snap up that 30 in a heart beat.

Resell. The green house works fine so far with just the Jotul.

Well I bought the Super 27 I only have 1500 ft to heat so I think it will be better. Open floor plan 24 feet to the peak in LR and Dining room. Also is insulated very well with 6inch walls blown insulation and Anderson Windows. Got it home installed and doing 1st breaking fire as we speak. Englander is on craigslist

So far happy with the Super27

Anyone in Michigan want a NC30 burned since march for 550.00?

Why can't you live closer...?

I think you're going to miss that 30 come January.

After 3 burns in the Super 27 I don't think so. Much better control of air and easier to get an optimal burn If it can hold an 8 hr loading schedule I'm sold.

BTW anyone in Michigan want my NC30 it's 550.00 Just got new baffle under warranty 1 is warping slightly Pedestal and legs.

PM me if interested

I bet quite a few people would be interested to hear a review of how the two stoves compare to each other once you get familiar with the Super 27, at least I know I would.

Sounds like it's working well for you. As was suggested earlier, I'd be interested to hear how this stove compares to the your old stove once you get some more time and colder weather. I don't think you'll have any problem getting 8 hrs out of it.

Will You take $500 cash for it?
