Hi folks,

I posted here a while ago about input regarding what stove to get, and I ended up purchasing a Greenfire GFI55 (aka Enviro Meridian).

I picked it up yesterday and started the install, but I had to wait until today to finish installing the block off plate because I was missing the rockwool 60 insulation. Well, it came in today and I finished the install, and it fired up perfectly and it's been running great (trying to get rid of the out-gassing while I can have windows open).

Nice install! Looks like it's burning very well. Because you have pictures, I guess it really happened! Looks great, really!

We had that same insert installed last fall and we LOVE it! Hope you enjoy yours as much as we have.

Looks fantastic... Now go get a $hit Load of pellets for that machine....

Beautiful home... (Yep, we are Nosey)

Very nice... no oak ??

Just curious
The greenfire freestanding (gfc60?) Looks almost exactly the same as the enviro m55 cast fs. Is the greenfire made by enviro or vise versa? the guts burn pot agitator blowers are identical

PS. The stove looks great. Good luck

Actually Sherwood Industries manufactures them for both companies. They also manufacture for VistaFlame and some of the Hudson River stoves.

Thanks j. I orderd the enviro m55cast freestanding. should be in next tuesday

Thanks for the comments everyone. I learned a lot from the install, but the information I learned here prior to the install was invaluable. Thanks for having such a great resource!

Phew, it's been a long morning, but 7.3 tons later, I think I'm ready for the winter season!

Oink oink!
