I got around 5 am about an 1" you know what's the big deal , loaded the stove went back to bed.
7:00 About 4" now over 6. Its so hard to get a good reading as the winds are wipping it.
This is pretty intense as imbeaded thunderstorms are occuring. None here yet, but not to far to the east they had one

After 8" I'll be out plowing, that is If I have any visability, IT is nasty out now

Been snowing here all night, but with 45 knot winds there is hardly any snow accumulation. Most of the driveway and walkways are completely clear, just a lot of snow drifts up against things like bushes, trees, and my back door. Keep the wind blowing! Then I don't have to fire up the snow blower and move it myself.

Please note I did mention loading my wood stoves In tune with being Hearth related

Reading Sunday paper I come up with this Fiberglass Insulation cost

R 11 Kraft Faced $.22 Per SQ FT

R 19 Unfaced $.36

R 19 Kraft faced $.39 per Sq Ft

Prices from Grossman's Bargin Outlet

No storm but we did get about 6 inches here in VA

R- 11. R-11 may still be manufactured but higher densities, the common R is R-13 or R-15

R-15, eh?? That's nice....seems to be getting better all the time. Let's just hope those R-values are 'honest'.

I used R-15 in a home I built several years ago in WV. (The ex has it now)

It was kinda firm/dense compared to R-13 and really good to work with. Should be code in 3.5" walls!

Bristol CT

The link doesn't work, Elk. Get a message that I am not authorized.

Don't know how much snow here in Framingam, but looks like 6" to 8" right now. Pretty scary conditions - I'm not going out today, for sure.

Arctic Cat ZL 600EFI

12-18 mpg

Runs like like a champ

Western MA, 10:12 AM, still snowing ALOT, around 12" now. I dont burn wood, but I do SHOVEL my dirt driveway, 140' of rock-strewn heaven! Hey....I keep reading all you wood guys talking about the therapeutic effects of splitting and stacking and hauling your wood, but in the next breath you talk about plows, snowblowers, etc. AH.....the therapeutic effects of my snowshovel......

Welp I burn pellets...and it is rewarding.the exercise is intense...carry 40lb from garage to living room....heart is pumping now....rip open the bag....feel the burn....pour it into the hopper...wow what a work out.....relax on couch....rebuild those muscles....lol

Much more of this and I will be muscle bound

dont forget mtalea, that you also need to stack those pellets in the garage, so you get to be looking quite buff TWICE! Ivve typing like mad before my power goes out...our lines go through alot of overhanging trees and such.....

This is true, I forgot about that....no wonder I look so good......not

Not sure if power will go out here or not....but i do have a battery backup for my stove..thank god

bah! when our power goes out, Im gonna tell countless stories of the "good ole days" to my kids.......power out for weeks on end, having to shoo the polar bears away from the woodpile in the back 40 all the while dodging the trees which were snapping due to the extreme cold weather, making a stop every once and awhile to put our bare feet in some fresh cow manure to warm them, looking forward to getting back into the house to play a rousing game of tiddly-winks, and dang happy to be there!

Where r u at..ie; location
