hello, I just noticed a strange thing with my stove. Starting last night my stove is making a quick sound of it's start up procedure, it's on auto at about 71 or so and it's plenty warm in the room and should not be trying to start. When I do up the temp it turns on without a issue. Since I sat down to post this it's made that start up sound 3 or 4 times.Anyone ever had this happen and could explain the problem? It's been cleaned well last spring. I put a new esp in late season last year so I didn't clean it in my spring cleaning. I've burned 2 bags of Cubex so far this early season.

Is it the same sound that it makes when the stove is plugged into the electrical outlet, but in off position?

I don't understand? the sound my stove makes in off position is silence. It's makeing that sound of a start up only for a split second, as if it's being told to start and then very quickly realizes the room is not cold enough for it to start up.

If the stove is unplugged from the wall outlet and you plug it in, it will make a startup sound for a few seconds and stop. This will happen even if it is in off position. Try that and see if it the same noise. If so, start by checking the wall outlet. After that it can possibly be due to a power "flicker" where the stove loses power for a split second. After that, I would not be sure but it might be time to start checking connections and grounds.

I wonder how much voltage drop you would need to see this?

I've seen some units at 114V decide they dont wanna run.

Actually my P68 does the same thing. It is like it is about to start running for like 2 seconds then shuts off. It is hard to describe but mine does it too.
